The house was entirely renovated in 2009 and was sympathetically modernised
to sleep four in comfort. To celebrate the renovation, the cottage was renamed
Glayva. This is an English language interpretation of the Gaelic words
"gle
mhath"
which translate as "very nice" or "very good".

The cottage has two good-sized bedrooms, one double with a large en-suite
bathroom, and a spacious twin room which has an adjacent shower room.
There is a large and well appointed kitchen/diner with modern SMEG appliances
and a dining table which has been designed so you can look out over the loch
while you dine (we've seen dolphins and otters from the window - so keep your
eyes peeled!)

There's also a relaxing lounge with a woodburning stove, books, games, iPod
dock, CDs, DVD player, Nintendo Wii and satellite TV. As part of the renovation
process the cottage was fully insulated with modern materials and new central
heating and hot water systems were installed - this means that Glayva is one of
the warmest and cosiest cottages around!

Quality linen and towels are included in the cost, as are all heating and utility
bills.

The bedrooms, lounge, shower room and kitchen/diner all face south over the
loch so the rooms are flooded with light all day. There is also a small south
facing patio at the front of the house, perfect for sundowners!

We've thought about some of the things that are important to us in a holiday
home and tried to include a few touches of luxury at Glayva. We've installed a
romantic double-ended bath in the en-suite with an amazing waterfall tap. There
are fabulous views from the bedrooms and in the shower room there's a heated
floor to warm your feet. You will be able to cook and eat in a large bright
kitchen/diner whilst enjoying sea views and in the lounge there's a selection of
books, CDs, satellite TV, a music system and a wood burning stove for those
cosy nights in.
